Sliced turkey, applewood smoked bacon, avocado, sundried tomato paste, romaine, smidge of mayo, and feta (which I subbed for gorgonzola). And the pastry was light flakes of dark chocolate on an airy and not too sweet twist.

A* got 2 foccacias, ate one slice each, and took the rest home - one was tomato, garlic, and some creamy cheese. Her fav was caramelized onions, walnuts, and gorgonzola. We split a loaf each of sourdough and grueyre (sp) with chive bread. I LOVE this bakery.CrankyOtterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02863609824154763580noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3434495502175776916.post-84126975473320735992007-07-08T21:09:00.000-07:002007-07-08T21:09:00.000-07:00wow. that actually looked like fun. that bakery ...wow. that actually looked like fun. that bakery looked pretty good too! what was the item that looked like a pizza with what looked like yellow and green topping? was it a sandwich/salad/pizza thing? i need answers. :)Shasta MacNastyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17019805026764127713noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3434495502175776916.post-205855822688043222007-07-08T18:31:00.000-07:002007-07-08T18:31:00.000-07:00I don't know about next hot product. A lot of ite...I don't know about next hot product. A lot of items are variations on a theme. And some are new workouts for old toys - like the extra springy pogo stick, a mini trampoline with bungees instead of springs, and hula hoops. There was some skeevy guy across from aldens booth selling something that looked like a giant archery bow with no string. I could just imagine whacking over half my stuff with it, or the person next to me in class. A lot of the stuff I saw was good for only one or two things, like a balance strap, or required lots of choreography to make it useful, or was marketed to gyms (nautilus), or for people with lots of space.

For some reason, people don't often like truly new things. Think how long it took before average people thought it was ok to have a cell phone (ok, so the technology had to evolve too, but still) and that's just a variation on something we all already have. So the Perfect Pushups are selling like hotcakes because they are a variation on a known item - people already buy pushup bars, these are *better* pushup bars so they get them. But the bodyrev is really revolutionary (pun kind of intended) so it's taking longer to catch on. But of the things at the show, I liked the Body Rev, the "fitness everywhere" (TRX?) aka straps with handles, and the massage chairs. I hated the protein bars, but then I usually do. I'd kind of like to get a inflated balance disc doohickey (they're small, about the size of a frisbee if you puff it up) that I used in PT. But then, I'm not a fitness professional.

I do love trade shows, though you get more free swag at engineering shows.CrankyOtterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02863609824154763580noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3434495502175776916.post-63188717673624384692007-07-08T08:28:00.000-07:002007-07-08T08:28:00.000-07:00How great do you all look!
